Troop 899 was started in 2001 and has been in operation consistently since our inception.

We are a Scouts BSA Troop located in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We have been chartered by the Myrtle Beach Moose Lodge #1959 since 2013. We host our meetings at Ocean Bay Middle School and at the Moose Lodge on Burcale Rd.

We are a very active unit that is led by our Scouts with the guidance of our adult leaders. Our unit camps, backpacks, visits cool locations, provides service to our community.
Scouts BSA Troops allows youth ages 11 - 17 to have the chance to have fun while learning valuable life lessons and skills all while working to be better citizens. ​
This is done by following the ideals of Scouting as spelled out in the Scout Oath, Scout Law, the Scout Motto, and the Scout Slogan. Scouts measure themselves against these ideals and continually try to improve. Our goals are high, and as Scouts reach for them, they learn to gain control over what and who they become.
