WHO WE ARE
Scouts BSA Troop 899 of Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach, SC​
In short, we are the Scouts BSA Troop in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach, SC. We are an all-boys troop ranging from 11- 18 years of age.

What do we do?
Our goal is to help develop young men into good citizens by following the aims and methods of Scouting. As a group, our Troop participates in weekly meetings, monthly campouts, yearly summer camp, and youth-specific training activities.
When and Where?
Scouts BSA is a year-round program for 11-18-year-olds that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help youth become the best versions of themselves. Troop 899 meets most Monday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the cafeteria at Ocean Bay Middle School located at 905 International Dr. Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. What are we working on now?
After a great summer of Camp, working on merit badges and service projects, we are ready to get back to regular meetings, and work to increase our Scouting knowledge and skills.

Over the next few months, our Scouts will work in prepare for the 2024 Chicora's Executive Challenge Camporee that will take place at Myrtle Beach State Park in December 2024. This event will require us to focus on First Aid, Fire Safety, and Search and Rescue Merit Badges.
