WHO WE ARE
Scouts BSA Troop 899 of Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach, SC​
In short, we are the Scouts BSA Troop in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach, SC. We are an all-boys troop ranging from 11- 18 years of age.

What do we do?
Our goal is to help develop young men into good citizens by following the aims and methods of Scouting. As a group, our Troop participates in weekly meetings, monthly campouts, yearly summer camp, and youth-specific training activities.
When and Where?
Scouts BSA is a year-round program for 11-18-year-olds that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help youth become the best versions of themselves. Troop 899 meets most Monday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the cafeteria at Ocean Bay Middle School located at 905 International Dr. Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. What are we working on now?
Troop 899 had an immensely successful 2024 all capped by a 1st Place Finish by one of our Patrols at the District Camporee!
Now we start to prepare for accepting new Scouts as the AOL dens start searching for their future Troops. We need to prepare our new Patrol Leaders to welcome these new Scouts and help guide them along their way. All while preparing for summer camp in June! The first half of 2025 is sure to bring excitement and opportunity!
