WHO WE ARE
Scouts BSA Troop 899 of Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach, SC​
In short, we are the Scouts BSA Troop in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach, SC. We are an all-boys troop ranging from 11- 18 years of age.

What do we do?
Our goal is to help develop young men into good citizens by following the aims and methods of Scouting. As a group, our Troop participates in weekly meetings, monthly campouts, yearly summer camp, and youth-specific training activities.
When and Where?
Scouts BSA is a year-round program for 11-18-year-olds that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help youth become the best versions of themselves. Troop 899 meets most Monday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the cafeteria at Ocean Bay Middle School located at 905 International Dr. Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. What are we working on now?
Having concluded 2025 with a great showing at the Chicora District Camp-O-Ree, we now move on to training new youth leaders and then preparing to welcome new Scouts in the Spring. Having spent the past few months focusing on Scout Skills and teamwork, ​our Troop is primed to make sure we are ready to accept new Scouts and make them feel like they are home.
