WHO WE ARE
Scouts BSA Troop 899 of Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach, SC
In short, we are the Scouts BSA Troop in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach, SC. We are an all-boys troop ranging from 11- 18 years of age.
What do we do?
Our goal is to help develop young men into good citizens by following the aims and methods of Scouting. As a group, our Troop participates in weekly meetings, monthly campouts, yearly summer camp, and youth-specific training activities.
When and Where?
Scouts BSA is a year-round program for 11-18-year-olds that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help youth become the best versions of themselves. Troop 899 meets most Monday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the cafeteria at Ocean Bay Middle School located at 905 International Dr. Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. What are we working on now?
Having concluded 2025 with a great showing at the Chicora District Camp-O-Ree, we now move on to training new youth leaders and then preparing to welcome new Scouts in the Spring. Having spent the past few months focusing on Scout Skills and teamwork, our Troop is primed to make sure we are ready to accept new Scouts and make them feel like they are home.
