WHO WE ARE
Scouts BSA Troop 899 of Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach, SC
In short, we are the Scouts BSA Troop in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach, SC. We are an all-boys troop ranging from 11- 18 years of age.
What do we do?
Our goal is to help develop young men into good citizens by following the aims and methods of Scouting. As a group, our Troop participates in weekly meetings, monthly campouts, yearly summer camp, and youth-specific training activities.
When and Where?
Scouts BSA is a year-round program for 11-18-year-olds that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help youth become the best versions of themselves. Troop 899 meets most Monday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the cafeteria at Ocean Bay Middle School located at 905 International Dr. Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. What are we working on now?
As we move deeper into Spring, it is time for our Scouts to put their focus on the Scouts who best embody the Scout Oath & Scout Law in their every day life. Those Scouts that have achieved first class, have camped more than 20 nights in the past 2 years, have attended a long term campout and have earned the respect of their fellow Scouts have the opportunity to take on the challenge of the Order of the Arrow. Over the next several weeks we are preparing to elect the Scouts that are worthy of this honor.
